If You Are in Immediate Danger

If you are at any risk of harm, whether physical or mental, please call 000 right now, or 112 if you are not in Australia (this is the emergency number in many countries). If you cannot safely call, try to contact a trusted adult, teacher, or community service immediately.

Why Law Tram Cannot Assist Directly

Law Tram connects adults with licensed Australian lawyers through a secure online system. To comply with Australian ethical standards and our Terms and Conditions, we cannot collect or process personal information from anyone under 18 years of age.

This ensures that any legal engagement occurs with the appropriate consent and safeguards required for minors. Legal representation for people under 18 must usually be arranged by:

  • A parent or legal guardian, or
  • An independent children’s lawyer or government service authorised to act on your behalf.

Safe Options for Getting Help

If you are under 18 and need legal or personal help, you can contact:

  • Legal Aid in your state or territory — dedicated services for young people.
  • Youth Law Australia — free online legal service for people under 25.
  • Community Legal Centres, which often have youth outreach programs.
  • If you are in school, your school counsellor or wellbeing officer can also help you contact the right service.

Our Commitment

Law Tram is committed to protecting young people’s safety and privacy. Even though we cannot directly assist users under 18, we want to ensure you are connected with people who can. Please use one of the services listed above for immediate, confidential support.
